1. Who We Are

DeskManager is developed and distributed by Protime ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy explains how we handle data in connection with the Software and the website mcp.protime.it.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

The Software is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, access, transmit, or store:

• Files, documents, or any content on your computer
• Browser history, cookies, saved passwords, or browsing data
• Terminal commands or their output
• Screenshots or screen recordings
• Keystroke data or clipboard content
• Personal information from your computer

All user data remains exclusively on your local device.

3. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

3.1 License Validation

When the Software verifies your license, the following is transmitted to our server:

• License token (a random string you received at purchase)
• Device identifier (a hardware hash — not your computer name or personal info)
• Software version number

This data is used solely to verify your license is valid and has not exceeded the device limit.

3.2 Purchase Information

When you purchase a license through our website, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and/or PayPal. We receive from the payment provider:

• Your email address (to send the license token)
• The plan you purchased
• A payment reference number

We do not receive or store your credit card number, bank details, or full payment information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

3.3 Feedback Reports (Voluntary)

If you voluntarily submit a feedback or bug report through the Software, you choose what to include:

• Your written description of the issue
• System specifications (OS version, CPU, RAM) — shown to you before sending
• Screenshots — only if you choose to attach them

Feedback data is stored on our server and used only to improve the Software.

3.4 Website Analytics

Our website uses first-party analytics only, hosted on our own server. When you browse mcp.protime.it we record: pages viewed, clicks on buttons and links (the label of the element, e.g. "Download"), an anonymous random session identifier stored in your browser's sessionStorage for the duration of the visit, your IP address, approximate country and browser user-agent. This data is used exclusively to understand how the website is used and to improve it. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers or cross-site cookies, and this data is never sold or shared. The website is served through Cloudflare, which may additionally collect basic access logs as part of its standard operation.

4. Remote Access and Data Flow

The Software enables remote control of your computer via AI assistants. It is important to understand the data flow:

We (Protime) are not in this data path. We cannot see, intercept, or access the commands or data flowing between Claude and your PC. The tunnel runs directly between your computer and Cloudflare's infrastructure.

This traffic is subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage and Security

All user data (files, browser profiles, session logs, configuration) is stored exclusively on your local device in an encrypted application data directory. License validation data is stored on our server in Italy. Feedback reports are stored on our server and retained for the purpose of improving the Software.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Request data portability

7. Data Controller

The data controller for license and purchase data is:

For data processed on your computer through the Software (files, browser data, etc.), you are the data controller. We have no access to or control over this data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Software or by email. Continued use of the Software after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
